History

We regret to inform our loyal customers and the Lancaster City public that the Rosa Rosa Restaurant Italiano at 398 Harrisburg Ave is closing today July 26, 2011. Due to the economic environment that has been steadily deteriorating over the last four years and the increases in overall expenses, we have come to the decision that we can no longer remain open at this time. This restaurant was the dream of Giovanni and Maria DiSomma; it was their desire to provide for a fine dining environment with an ambiance literally from Italy, which our patrons have enjoyed for the past six years.

We have decided to “return to our roots”, the Rosa Rosa Pizzeria, 1040 Harrisburg Avenue, where the dream was born. We hope you will continue to give us the pleasure to serve you at this location where will bring our chef and of course, our menu. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees; your dedication and hard work has been greatly appreciated, not only by us, but by the customers you have served as well.

All gifts cards will be honored at Rosa Rosa Pizzeria until 12/ 31/ 2011.

We especially thank all of the wonderful people who have supported us through their patronage, many of whom have become dear friends.  The Rosa Rosa family is still strong and committed to our customers and to Lancaster County.  As the economy improves, Maria and her son Gennaro will renew and carry on Giovanni’s dream in his absence and reopen in the not too distant future.
